Secat, Inc., established in August of 1999, is dedicated to the research and development of innovative technologies and products for the aluminum and automotive industries. The first of its kind, Secat performs cutting-edge research and delivers commercially viable technologies and processes on behalf of the aluminum industry. Secat is located at the University of Kentucky's Coldstream Research Campus, where it provides space, equipment and support services to companies and university researchers. Here, personnel from the university and the private sector work together on collaborative projects while individual companies develop proprietary projects.
